Day 0

Arrival + Settling In

After months of coordination across time zones and calendars, our team arrived on Hilton Head Island — some flying in from across the country, others from as far as Mexico. Despite the travel puzzle, everyone made it, and we were welcomed at the airport with a bold sign and even bigger excitement.

Our group split between two home bases: The Westin and a beachfront spot at Palmetto Dunes. We unpacked, took stock, and began to settle in. Some of us turned in early after a long day of travel, while others took a moment to soak in the view and let the pace shift.

With our team together and the ocean in sight, we were officially on island time — ready to reset, realign, and begin the days ahead with clarity and intention.

Day 1

Movement, Moments, and Momentum

Our first full day on Hilton Head Island was all about rhythm — moving our bodies, sharing meals, and setting the tone for the days ahead.

We kicked things off with an early morning dolphin tour and paddle boarding session at Shelter Cove. For a team used to calendars and cadence, it was refreshing to start the day on the water, fully present and just a little salty from the sea air.

Lunch was from Healthy Habit — nourishing, simple, and energizing — giving us exactly what we needed for an afternoon bike ride around the island. Pedaling past palms, the team explored Hilton Head at a slower pace, each turn bringing a little more ease.

As the sun started to dip, we gathered back at the house for a classic Low-country boil. There’s something grounding about sharing a meal made to be eaten elbow-to-elbow — casual, flavorful, and full of conversation.

We ended the evening with intentional team building. No forced fun — just a series of thoughtful prompts, reflections, and shared laughter that helped us move beyond job titles and into real connection.

Day 1 reminded us that when you combine movement, presence, and good food, momentum follows naturally.

Day 2

Presence, Purpose, and Perspective

Day 2 began before the world woke up. We rolled out our mats on the sand for sunrise yoga on the beach — Just as we started, it began to pour. What could’ve been a scramble turned into laughter, a spontaneous reminder that not everything needs to go as planned to be meaningful.

The rest of the day was dedicated to collaborative team sessions. With notebooks open and ideas flowing, we dove into cross-functional projects, creative problem-solving, and meaningful conversations. The energy was focused, thoughtful, and fueled by a shared drive to keep evolving — together.

We wrapped the day with a team dinner at Quarterdeck, where the conversation continued over seafood and sunset views.

Day 2 was a reflection of what we value most: presence, clarity, and connection — in our work and in each other.

Day 3

Curiosity, Cadence, and Connection

We began Day 3 with a visit from Sea Turtle Patrol, a local organization dedicated to protecting Hilton Head’s nesting sea turtles. As we listened and learned, we were struck by how deeply the island prioritizes conservation — especially during turtle season.

A fact that stayed with us: sea turtles navigate by moonlight, which is why Hilton Head takes lighting near the beach so seriously. Another: many turtles and marine animals don’t ingest plastic because they mistake it for food — but because algae and other small organisms attach to it, making it easier for them to ingest unintentionally.

This conversation felt especially relevant as we prepare to launch our Renew Capsule — made from recycled, ocean-bound plastic. It’s a step toward progress, and being in Hilton Head made the “why” behind this launch even more clear and urgent.

The rest of the day flowed into midday working sessions. We closed out with dinner at Poseidon, reflecting on everything we’d learned, built, and shared. We also left feeling quite full!

Day 3 reminded us that impact starts with awareness — and grows through action, one thoughtful step at a time.

Day 4

 Reflection, Rhythm, and Local Roots

We began our final day with a guided walk through Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park — the first self-governed town of formerly enslaved people in the United States. The experience was grounding and powerful, a reminder that history lives not just in stories, but in places — and that honoring the past is part of how we move forward with purpose.

Afterward, we enjoyed boxed lunches from Ruby Lee’s, a local favorite, before settling into a rhythm of afternoon co-working and beach time. The balance of focused work and restorative downtime reflected the cadence we aim to bring into our day-to-day — productive, intentional, and rooted in clarity.

We wrapped our offsite with dinner at Hudson’s, sharing fresh-caught seafood and final reflections as the sun set over the water.

Day 4 reminded us that anchoring in place — in history, in nature, in community — allows us to return to our work with greater meaning and momentum.

Day 5

Play, Pause, and Parting Ways

We closed out our time on Hilton Head with one last slow morning — breakfast at the Palmetto Dunes General Store, complete with coffee, conversation, and a sense of ease that only comes from a week well spent.

Then it was time to turn up the energy for a team pickleball tournament — equal parts competitive and lighthearted. It brought out the best of our team spirit, with plenty of laughter, friendly rivalry, and unexpected comeback wins.

After the match, we slowed things down with one final team moment — a three-minute exercise where each of us had the chance to present ourselves. No slides, no scripts — just space to reflect, share, and show up as we are. It was a powerful way to close out the week.

We wrapped up, packed our bags, and said our goodbyes — heading home with renewed connection, clarity, and energy for the road ahead.

Day 5 reminded us that the best teams make space for both play and presence — and that how we end is just as intentional as how we begin.
